2010

by admin

2010 has now arrived. What are your plans for the new decade? I was reading over my resolutions from last year and discovered I kept my two most important ones. #1 have more fun and #2 be a better friend. I met my friend Susan(who designed my beautiful blog) in February 09 and we proceeded to have fun for the remainder of 2009. I ran my first 13.1 at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon in April. That is where the tradition of chardonnay at the finish line was inaugurated. I then learned how to swim and breathe at the same time and competed in my first, second and third triathlons. Something I have wanted to do for many years but was too afraid to try by myself. I did the bike ride and the 10k run at the Red Bud. Rode the Tulsa Tough ride that was very hilly. I also ran my fastest 5k and shocked myself. I did not know I could run that fast. I have had the “Funnest” year ever! I have learned a lot about myself and overcome fears I did not know I had hiding inside me. I never thought my resolutions last year would have such an impact on my personal growth. So my friends, think about what you want to achieve this year. What you put your mind to may actually surprise you! Especially if you have a friend to do it with:)

Resolutions for 2010

by Michelle

139Christmas is a week away and we should be almost finished with all the shopping and wrapping. I don’t know what I am serving for Christmas dinner other than my famous eggnog. I guess if we drink enough eggnog it won’t matter.

I am thinking about my New Year’s resolutions. I made the remark I would smile more. I was then told I can’t possibly smile any more than I already do now. That’s why I chose smiling, I am good at it and would probably be successful in my resolution. I have others. Being a better friend and more generous with my time. I could resolve to run more since I am training for the Oklahoma Memorial Marathon this April. But I am curious to your resolutions this year of 2010. I want you to inspire me and help me think of some things that need attention. So send in your resolutions and the best or most inspiring one will win a gift basket of hair products.

I hope you and your families have the best holiday season and look forward to another great year  with you all.

Happy Holidays

by Michelle

Thanksgiving was great day. Beautiful weather and great times with family and friends.
Christmas is coming fast and we have been busy at the salon. A new shipment of Liqwd has arrived and ready for you. The holiday parties have begun. So make sure you look good for all the photo ops. They will be around for a very long time!
Most of all, don’t forget about the hungry and the homeless that have very little for the holidays. The Regional Food Bank needs donations. The need has increased and the donations are down. Please think about those who need the basic necessities of life.

Happy Halloween

by Michelle

Halloween is always celebrated at Wilson Art. We started the day at the salon with food and drinks for all. The costumes were very creative and fun this year. Calley dressed as Rosie the Riveter; made her famous cookies and dirt balls for us to snack on all day and the German Beer Girls brought the beer to wash them down. We could not convince Wheel of Fortune (Cheryl) to let us spin her. Gwyn was the Black Widow and Kim was the cutest little troll ever! Kim had the annual Turner Halloween party at her house later that night. It was a long day and night of fun and festivities. Enjoy a few photos from our fabulous day and we hope to see you next year!
